Graduate Surveyor – Dubai

A unique opportunity has arisen for a graduate surveyor to join a highly respected commercial valuation department in an established chartered surveying firm. The ideal candidate will have experience working in specialist sectors including hospitality, education and healthcare within the UAE.

What this opportunity involves:

Our specialist team based within the commercial valuation department covers all hospitality, education and healthcare markets in the GCC region. Valuations and development advisory are prepared for many of the region’s leading property developers, investors and banks.  All valuations are carried out in accordance with international best practice and rigorous RICS standards.

The role will provide support in numerous areas of the assignment process and would suit an ambitious individual who is looking to join a team with an unrivalled reputation within the industry. You will be passionate, driven and hardworking and will have an interest in working in a market leading team.

Key responsibilities: 

• Value commercial property specifically within the hospitality, education and healthcare sectors.
• Prepare detailed valuation reports and present valuation advice to clients.
• Take day to day responsibility for the execution of instructions under minimum supervision.
• Manage multiple instructions at the same time efficiently and effectively.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of a strong client base.
• Maintain and regularly update all internal databases.
• Support an expanding team in its business development objectives and continued growth in revenue.
• Collaborate with other departments internally to maintain market knowledge and cross-sell opportunities.

Requirements:

• Firm understanding of the day-to-day operations of the hospitality, education and healthcare sectors.
• A real estate background would be beneficial but not mandatory.
• UAE market knowledge is beneficial.
• Hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
• Finance focused with working knowledge of profit and loss accounts and the practical application of a discounted cash flow.
• Good report writing skills and proficient in MS Excel.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude towards routine tasks.
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• UAE driving licence and available vehicle.
• Arabic speaking is not essential but would be advantageous.
