Walker will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Project and Building Consultancy team supporting Head of Department, Craig Ross, to further develop the business line. Walker will add extensive international experience and knowledge which will strengthen the capabilities of the team.
Walker brings over 13 years of building surveying and project management experience gained in both the UK and more latterly in New Zealand. Prior to joining Cavendish Maxwell, Walker was heading up the building consultancy department for the New Zealand arm of a global real estate firm. During his time in New Zealand he was instrumental in providing key advice to top tier international clients on some of the largest acquisitions in both New Zealand and Australia. Walker specialises in technical due diligence, lifecycle costing, condition surveys, dilapidations and project management of alteration and refurbishment projects.
Craig Ross, Partner and Head of the Project and Building Consultancy department said: “We are delighted to welcome Ben to our team, who brings with him a wealth of experience and whose skills will be a great asset in our goal of providing the best possible service to our clients. It’s an exciting time for Ben to join as we are finding an increasing demand for our core building surveying services both in the local and international market and will therefore look to establish him as a key leader in the team and also the wider building surveying profession in the Middle East as a qualified RICS APC Assessor”.
