Media company Warner Bros. announced that it will open its first-ever themed hotel in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island in 2021. Construction of the USD 112 million hotel is now 40% complete.
WB Abu Dhabi will feature over 250 rooms over eight levels, with modern décor that celebrates Warner Bros’ extensive film and television library. The property’s contemporary design will also include signature WB restaurants, a premier spa and fitness club, a ballroom and a shaded rooftop pool. These will be inspired by the company’s famous franchises including Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera cartoons as well as DC.
Pam Lifford, president of Warner Bros Global Brands and Experiences, said: “Following the successful debut of Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, we are thrilled to expand our presence in the region with the studio’s first-ever branded hotel. This new venture will pay tribute to Warner Bros.’ legacy of rich entertainment, offering fans a unique way to experience their favourite brands and characters.”
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Miral, the organisation responsible for creating and managing destinations in Abu Dhabi, said: “Our partnership with Warner Bros is a unique collaboration that adds another dimension to the outstanding immersive experiences available on Yas Island.”
The hotel will be located adjacent to the award-winning Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi theme park, becoming yet another hospitality and leisure attraction on the island.

Sarah-Jane joined Cavendish Maxwell in January 2020 as Head of Marketing and is responsible for the development of the marketing strategy and execution across the Middle East region. An energetic and results driven marketer, Sarah-Jane possesses a wealth of multi-channel marketing experience, within both B2B and B2C environments which she has gained over a 25 year career. Prior to joining Cavendish Maxwell, Sarah-Jane held senior marketing positions for major developers in Dubai including Emaar, Dubai Properties and Dubai Sports City. She also worked for IWG as the Regional Marketing Director responsible for the MEA and APAC regions. Before relocating to the UAE in 2005, Sarah-Jane held various management roles in public and private sector companies in the UK including ten years at Royal Mail and seven years at the Bank of America.
Sarah-Jane is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has a BA(Hons) Degree in Business and Marketing
